This policy explains what information Treat Hot Flashes (treathotflashes.com) collects when you visit, how it’s used, and the choices you have. Effective November 2, 2026.
Who we are
Treat Hot Flashes is a personal blog about perimenopause and menopause written by Denise Walsh and published by Brandon and Denise Walsh in Michigan, United States. Health articles are reviewed by Jesse Ovlasuk, RN. You can read more on our About page.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never published.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request) for security and troubleshooting.
- Search data. We use Google Search Console, which shows us which Google searches led people to the site. It reports totals, not information about individual visitors.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t ask for payment or health information on this site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, WordPress may set a cookie that remembers your name and email for next time. Site administrators who log in also receive login cookies. We don’t use advertising cookies on this site.
Content and services from other companies
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. Articles link to outside sites, including research sources and the She+ by Immunotec product site (menopausejelly.com). When you click through, that site’s own privacy policy applies, and any purchase happens on that site, not ours.
Affiliate and material connection disclosure
Brandon Walsh does freelance marketing work for Immunotec, the company that makes She+, and links to She+ may lead to a page where Denise can earn a commission. See our Medical Disclaimer and Disclosure for details.
How long we keep information
Comments and their details are kept until they are deleted. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited time for security purposes.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you, such as a comment you left, by emailing hello@treathotflashes.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR, and we will honor those requests.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
