  • She+ by Immunotec Review: My Honest Take After Two Months

I’m in perimenopause, my sleep had fallen apart, and magnesium didn’t fix it. Here’s what changed after two months on the She+ jelly sticks by Immunotec, what’s in it, and how it compares to the other menopause supplements out there.

Disclosure: My husband, Brandon, does freelance marketing work for Immunotec, the company that makes She+. I got my first boxes free as an early tester. Nobody at Immunotec reviewed or approved this post, and everything below is my own experience.

    Key takeaways
    • She+ is an apple blueberry jelly stick with black cohosh, red clover, ginger and glucomannan (konjac fiber).
    • After about two months, my sleep scores went from constant wake-ups to the 80s and 90s, my energy came back, and my hot flashes eased.
    • In Immunotec’s 30-day tester group, 95% noticed changes, and sleep was the most reported improvement (78%).
    • Black cohosh and red clover are two of the most studied herbs for menopause, and meta-analyses link both to fewer hot flashes.
    • It’s a daily jelly stick, not a pill, and it tastes good enough that I look forward to it.
    Denise Walsh at home, smiling

“I was waking up what looked like every ten minutes all night. Two months on She+, my sleep scores are in the 80s and 90s, I have my energy back, and my hot flashes have calmed way down.”Denise Walsh, perimenopause, She+ tester

Where I was a year ago

My symptoms started creeping in about a year ago. First it was low energy. Then my sleep started going downhill. Then the hot flashes showed up, mostly at night, when I’d wake up sweaty and overheated.

I wear an Oura ring, so I didn’t have to guess how bad my nights were. The sleep graph looked like I was awake every ten minutes, all night long. When you sleep like that, everything else gets harder.

I’m far from alone. A CDC survey of women aged 40 to 59 found that 56% of women in perimenopause sleep less than 7 hours a night, and nearly a third have trouble staying asleep four or more nights a week (CDC NCHS, 2017).

    What I tried first

Magnesium was my first move, because it’s what everyone recommends for sleep. It didn’t really help me. That’s not a knock on magnesium. It works for some women, and the research on it for hot flashes is thin either way. It just wasn’t my answer.

The format is the first thing you notice. It isn’t a pill or a gummy. You squeeze it straight from the stick. I love the taste. It’s apple blueberry, and it’s honestly something I look forward to.

    What changed for me

    Sleep

This was the big one. My Oura sleep scores went from constant wake-ups to regularly landing in the 80s and 90s.

    Energy

My energy came back, and I think that’s mostly because I’m sleeping again.

    Hot flashes

They’ve reduced a lot. They’re nowhere near what they were.

Every woman is different, so I also looked at what other women reported and what the research says about the ingredients.

What other women in the first test group reported

Immunotec ran a 30-day product experience with women using She+ before launch. Their results line up with mine: sleep was the biggest change.

Share of participants reporting improvement in each area. Overall, 95% reported noticing changes and 59% noticed changes in the first week. Source: Immunotec 30-day consumer product experience. Self-reported outcomes, not clinical endpoints. Individual results vary.

“The biggest difference I’ve noticed is with the night sweats. I used to wake up with them almost every night, and since I started taking the product, I haven’t had a single one.”Stephanie T., She+ tester. Individual results vary.
“Night sweats went from 5 to only 1 or 2, and sometimes none at all, but the most incredible thing is that I’m sleeping 7 to 8 hours straight!”Claudia J., She+ tester. Individual results vary.
“I sleep deeply and have lots of energy. I’ve noticed I’m not getting irritated so easily anymore.”Silvia V., She+ tester, after about 20 days. Individual results vary.

What the research says about the ingredients

She+ is built around two of the most researched herbs for menopause, plus ginger and a gentle fiber. Here’s what the studies show.

    Black cohosh

    Most studied

The most studied herb for menopause, used by women for generations. A 2023 meta-analysis of 22 studies and more than 2,300 women found improvements in hot flashes and in overall menopause symptoms compared with placebo (Menopause, 2023).

On sleep, one small trial found women taking it spent about 16% less time awake after falling asleep than women on placebo (Climacteric, 2015).

    Red clover

    Clinically studied

Contains isoflavones, plant compounds with a weak estrogen-like effect. A 2021 meta-analysis found about 1.7 fewer hot flashes a day compared with placebo, mostly in women having five or more a day (Nutrients, 2021). A 2026 analysis of nine trials confirmed a significant drop in hot flash frequency (EJOG, 2026).

    Ginger

    Digestive comfort

Ginger is one of the best-studied plants around. Research supports it for nausea and period cramps, and it’s widely studied for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties (NCCIH). In She+, it supports digestive comfort.

    Glucomannan

    Fiber

A soluble fiber from konjac root, and part of what gives the jelly its texture. It’s known for supporting digestion and helping you feel full.

If your symptoms are severe, it’s always worth talking with your doctor about all of your options.

    How She+ compares

Bonafide RelizenSwedish flower pollenTablet$42 to $58 a month

Competitor prices checked November 2026 from brand sites and major retailers. They change often.

The difference that stood out to me: every other option is a pill or a gummy, and none of the big brands combines black cohosh and red clover. If you hate swallowing pills, the jelly format is a real plus.

Who should talk to a doctor first

    • Liver problems. Black cohosh has been linked to rare cases of liver injury. A cause hasn’t been proven, but stop and call your doctor if you notice yellowing skin, dark urine or stomach pain (NIH).
    • Breast or uterine cancer history. Safety of black cohosh and red clover isn’t settled for hormone-sensitive cancers (NCCIH).
    • Blood thinners. Ginger may raise bleeding risk with warfarin (BJCP, 2021).
    • Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Black cohosh and red clover aren’t considered safe.
    • Trouble swallowing. Glucomannan swells with liquid, so have a glass of water with it (Health Canada).

    My verdict

For me, She+ has been worth it. The sleep change alone made a huge difference in how I feel day to day, and I actually enjoy taking it. If sleep, night sweats or low energy are wearing you down, I think it’s absolutely worth a try.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is She+ hormone replacement therapy?

No. She+ isn’t hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It’s a daily supplement made with plant extracts, including black cohosh and red clover.

In Immunotec’s 30-day test group, 59% noticed changes within the first week. For me, the biggest change was sleep.

Mine reduced a lot. Black cohosh and red clover are the two herbs most studied for hot flashes, and night sweats were one of the improvements testers reported most often.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you take blood thinners, have liver problems, or have a history of hormone-sensitive cancer.

    What does She+ taste like?

Apple blueberry, with a soft jelly texture. It isn’t chalky and there’s no pill to swallow.

Is the She+ by Immunotec the same as SHE+ by Fisher?

No. SHE+ by Fisher is a separate European supplement line. This review is about She+ by Immunotec, the jelly stick launched in the US in October 2026.

  • What is Premature Menopause?

If you are younger than 40, and are experiencing menopausal symptoms, then, you have a condition called premature menopause. There is no fixed or certain reason why this happens. If you have undergone chemotherapy, then this could be a reason for the failure of your ovaries due to the destruction of hormones.

It could also happen due to insufficient flow of blood to the ovaries. Thus, if you have had your tubes tied recently, or have undergone some major surgery like a hysterectomy, then these could also be the probably causes. Other possible reasons could be genetic disorders, smoking, enzyme defects, resistant ovary syndrome, induction of multiple ovulation in infertility, and so on.

The symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, increased mood swings, and decreased sex drive. It is a very painful and a difficult phase for a woman, and the symptoms are far more serious than in women who undergo menopause at the right age.

One of the most common methods which women tend to resort to for treatment of this condition is hormonal replacement. However, you don’t have to go through this.

Firstly, it is very risky, as it could cause you to undergo several other problems, which may be too difficult to cope up with. Secondly, you will also be under a lot of strain mentally. Moreover, this treatment is quite expensive.

Thus, the best way is to go through a natural cure for menopause. You could supplement your body with vitamins like Vitamin B, E, A, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, and so on. By taking this natural cure for menopause, you will be ensuring that your body is slowly brought back to its normal equilibrium, while not disturbing anything else.

You can also go for certain potent herbs which are found to be very effective to treat menopause. Yoga and meditation are also excellent as a natural cure for menopause.

The main focus of yoga is to ensure that the right levels of oxygen reach all parts of the body, which is an effective way to naturally treat menopause.

  • Treating Insomnia During Menopause

Menopause is a very tough phase for almost every woman. You would be undergoing extreme levels of stress due to the various changes that are happening in your body. The main menopause symptoms are mood swings and hot flashes, followed by a decreased sex drive. All this could even affect you psychologically.

Sometimes, many women tend to develop insomnia during this phase of their life. This means that you may be have trouble falling asleep, or become unable to sleep well for more than a couple of hours. It could cause extreme levels of stress and anxiety.

Update from Denise, November 2026: I’m in perimenopause myself, and the change that has helped my sleep and night sweats most is She+ by Immunotec. Read how my sleep scores came back. (My husband does freelance marketing work for Immunotec.)

During menopause, you would be undergoing hot flashes and night sweats which could cause you to wake up and change the sheets. You may then find it difficult to go back to sleep. You could also face difficulty in sleeping due to health issues and the lowering levels of certain hormones in your body. In addition to this, if you are a smoker, or work too much, or drink heavily, your sleep problems could be much worse than usual.

Instead of resorting to pills, and trying to fight this through medicines, the best option you have is to naturally treat menopause. You will hence be ensuring that your body is able to find its equilibrium back the natural way.

A natural cure for menopause will also make sure that none of the other body functions and reactions are affected in anyway. The best way to do so is to take the right amounts of necessary vitamins and minerals.

Of course, the most logical natural cure for menopause which could also take care of insomnia would be to quit smoking and drinking, and to follow healthy lifestyle practices. Yoga and meditation is also considered to be a very good way of naturally treating menopause, as it helps your body restore its equilibrium back through the proper supply of blood and oxygen.

  • Menopause and Heart Disease

Menopause is an important stage in your life, much more than you realise. Not only do women undergo phases of hormonal imbalances, which cause effects like insomnia, weight gain, hot flashes, and so on, but it also puts you in greater risk of heart disease. Surprised? Don’t be. One of the main factors of claiming female deaths is heart disease.

After reaching menopause, you are more likely than your male counterparts to suffer heart disease. This is because since your body is going through a major change, your body is also more vulnerable. Thus, the things which you used to take for granted – like intake of high calorie content, smoking, alcohol, late nights, heavy workloads, and so on will affect you far worse now than before.

The main problem with women is that as far as heart disease is concerned, they are more resistant to the symptoms than men. This means that if you are a woman who is suffering a heart attack, you are more likely to wait for it to get more serious, and resist the discomfort rather than complain about it.

Most women tend to brush off heart attack symptoms such as heavy breathing, profuse sweating, shooting pains up and down the arm, and extreme chest pain. They feel that they may be just feeling generally weak, or may be suffering heartburn. However, it is very important that you don’t ignore these symptoms.

You can avoid this altogether by adopting methods to naturally treat menopause. A very good and most recommended natural cure for menopause is to quit smoking and drinking. You may feel that there is no big deal, but it is a very big deal, especially now. Another way to naturally treat menopause is to eat right, and exercise regularly.

Diet control and exercise are very effective as a natural cure for menopause as they ensure that your body receives blood in the required levels. Yoga is yet another way to naturally treat menopause.

  • Menopause and Depression: Are They Related?

Menopause is one of the most difficult phases in a woman’s life. Your body goes through some extreme changes during this time, and you find that the things which you usually took for granted, now affect you very badly.

You start gaining weight, and you experience symptoms such as night sweats, hot flashes, and so on, which disturb you even while you try to sleep. As your hormones get juggled and jostled a lot, you also experience heavy mood swings.

In addition to all of this, your sex drive also decreases. Due to all these reasons, you suddenly start feeling depressed. Depression must not be mistaken for general low moods. Depression is an emotional disorder which is characterised by a feeling of extreme lowness, lack of interest in anything, even thing things which you used to like before, and a general feeling that you will never feel happy again.

Most experts say that depression is not caused directly due to menopause. It has a lot to do with your attitude towards it. Thus, if you feel low about undergoing menopause, and are not able to deal with it emotionally, you may fall into depression.

You can change this, by developing a fighter attitude. The most natural cure for menopause is natural supplements like essential vitamins and minerals.

Eating right is one of the most important ways to naturally treat menopause. You could include fresh citrus fruits and leafy vegetables in your diet, and drop the fattening stuff. Also, you could practise yoga and meditation, which is a widely accepted way to naturally treat menopause.

Exercising daily is also an effective way to naturally treat menopause. You can go for brisk walking for half an hour daily, or practice aerobics. Lastly, as a natural cure for menopause, you could try quitting smoking and drinking.

  • Menopause and Breast Cancer

Breast cancer and menopause have very strange and parallel links. Women who had breast cancer, and had undergone chemotherapy have a very good and likely chance of suffering premature menopause. This means that instead of undergoing menopause at the age of 50-55, you do so at less than 40 years of age.

Menopause is a stage when the female reproductive organs stop functioning. Simply put, it means that your ovaries stop producing eggs and the necessary hormones that support reproduction. Thus, your body undergoes a major change as far as hormones are concerned.

Alternately, many women think that after attaining menopause, they have good chances of contracting breast cancer. This is only partly true. The chances of having breast cancer increase with age, rather than menopause.

However, it has been observed that women who are older than 55, and have attained menopause late in their life have a higher risk of getting breast cancer. Many women, especially the ones who have had premature menopause, try to go for hormone replacement and other chemical techniques to cure themselves, so that they can start having babies again. However, this would also significantly raise the risk of breast cancer, since you are trying to defy nature.

The best way would be to adopt a natural cure for menopause. One of the best ways to naturally treat menopause would be to have a healthier lifestyle. You need to quit smoking and drinking. It might be tough, but if you would like to live longer and continue to make a difference to your loved ones, then you should really adopt this natural cure for menopause.

Eating the right amounts of vitamin and mineral rich food, and cutting back on calories is also a very natural cure for menopause. You can also naturally treat menopause with the help of yoga and meditation techniques. In fact, any method of exercise when followed regularly is considered to be a good way to naturally treat menopause.

  • How to Avoid Weight Gain during Menopause?

Have you been gaining weight recently? This could be due to the fact that you are going through menopause. It is one of the most annoying things in the world to find that suddenly, your favourite jeans which you have been  proudly wearing doesn’t fit you properly anymore.

Instead of that pear shape which you loved, you find that your body becoming more and more inclined towards the apple shape, as you gain more weight around your middle rather than any other part of your body.

The main reason for this sudden weight gain is the changes in your hormones. The quantities of certain hormones, like estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, and androgen which are responsible for burning calories in the body in indirect ways start fluctuating.

The main reason for this is that your body is preparing itself and is trying to become stronger so that you don’t get afflicted with osteoporosis as you grow older. Thus, even if you eat very little, the body will use every little bit to produce fat.

Due to all these reasons, you gain weight. The best way to deal with this is through natural means. The natural cure for menopause is to avoid fatty food, and to eat fruits which don’t have much starch in them.

Fruit juices are also suitable as a natural cure for menopause; since it will help you gain energy without sending any fat to your body.

It is always advisable to naturally treat menopause rather than fall for some fad diets or go on a mega exercising routine. This will cause your body to become weak. Also, instead of trying to naturally treat menopause, if you try to stop eating properly, you will only end up gaining more weight, as the body will then try to absorb in calories from every ounce of food that comes.

The best natural cure for menopause would be to accept your body changes, and patiently follow a healthy exercise and diet routine.

  • Herbal Remedies to Cure Hot Flashes

Hot flashes are perhaps among the most uncomfortable and most disturbing effects of menopause among women. They are characterised by a sudden feeling of unnatural warmth or heat across the body. It could also cause you to break into heavy sweating.

Due to hot flashes, you may also undergo other problems. You feel flushed and stressed most of the time. At night, you are unable to sleep, as you wake up due to these hot flashes. It is bad enough in most women to cause extreme irritability, and in some cases even depression.

Instead of consulting expensive doctors and taking medicines that do more harm than good, it is much better to try a good natural cure for menopause. The problem with most of the medicines is that they are full of chemicals which play with the hormones in your body. This could also lead you to face other serious problems, as more than one hormone may get affected.

The best and most recommended natural cure for menopause would be to change your diet. Instead of having calorie ridden stuff, including vitamin and mineral rich fruits and vegetables in your diet would be the first step to naturally treat menopause.

Flaxseeds and Flaxseed oil are excellent herbal remedies as well. These serve as excellent ways to naturally treat menopause, since they are rich with minerals and enzymes which helps your body to balance its hormones. Including soy in your diet would also help tremendously, as soy phytoestrogens are an excellent way to control hot flashes. In addition to these, you can also try herbs like black cohosh, chickweed, elder, violet, and so on.

These herbs are rich with supplements which help your body to receive and circulate sufficient oxygen, and cool the body. You must also start avoiding spicy food and quit smoking, alcohol and caffeine to naturally treat menopause.

Perimenopause is the stage before menopause sets in. It varies from ten to fifteen years before menopause, which officially occurs when a women does not have a period for one year. The average age of menopause in most women is fifty one, but this may vary.

Update from Denise, November 2026: I’m in perimenopause myself, and the change that has helped my sleep and night sweats most is She+ by Immunotec. Read my She+ review. (My husband does freelance marketing work for Immunotec.)

  • How To Deal With Lower Sex Drive After Menopause?

Lowered sex drive is one of the most common after effects of menopause faced by women across the world. Nearly 45% of menopausal women have reported losing interest in sex after menopause. There are several reasons that cause a decrease in sex drive. We’ll discuss them here.

Many women don’t feel the urge to have sex with their partner anymore. Others find it painful hence they do not consider it worth the efforts. The decreased libido is considered to be due to the lowered levels of progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone that are present in the body. Each of these hormones has a specific role to make you experience a sexual desire. A drop in these hormones results in lowered interest for sex.

The symptoms that follow menopause are also responsible in lowering your interest for sexual intercourse. One of the common symptoms of both menopausal and perimenopausal women is vaginal dryness. The vaginal walls become thin and it becomes too delicate to handle penetration. Due to this, women experience painful intercourse which may range from uncomfortable to light bleeding or spotting. This also lowers sex drive in menopausal women.

Hot flashes and night sweats are also common symptoms of menopause. This causes fatigue in women, and some also face sleep disturbances. When you are so tired, sex would probably be the last thing on your mind.

Depression and mood swings are also very common in menopausal women, making it difficult to cope up with situations and desire sex.

Now, that you understand the reasons that results in lowering the sex drive, it is important to take steps to combat the effects of menopause. You can improve your general health with a proper diet and regular exercise. There are several lubricants and hormonal creams available in the market that help you fight away vaginal dryness and make sexual intercourse less painful. However, it is recommended that you always consult your physician before opting for any over-the-counter menopausal treatment or therapies.
